Sunriser is a female horse who comes to the aid Rainbow Brite when Starlite and On-X are kidnapped in the episode "A Horse of a Different Color".

Sunriser lives in the mountains of Rainbow Land. She is only seen at sunrise, hence her name. Not much more is known about her until she comes to see the horse race during the annual "Sprite Fair". Intently, she watched the race until Murky Dismal and Lurky disrupted the event and kidnapped Starlite and On-X. Concerned for Starlite, Sunriser raced after Rainbow, Stormy and Skydancer. She then helped them find the captured horses. Starlite, assuming Sunriser wanted to replace him left without thanking her. After Starlite later found and caught Murky, he learned that Sunriser had only wished to meet him, not replace him.
